Tell me more, first.

maternity portraits on a summer evening

Without grace, it can become easy to feel overwhelmed—to feel buried
beneath the cost and implications of pregnancy.

Without hope, I wonder if we can ever experience the depth of grace.

From the moment we find out we're expecting, we mothers get to choose our attitudes. The intensity of daily decisions can make us want to give up, but if we are willing to look up—to lay down our lives for our little ones—we'll find grace to help us when we need it most. And suddenly, the future will start to look and feel a lot more meaningful.

Nate and I don’t pretend to know all the ins and outs of your circumstances. We're volunteering our time with local pregnancy resource centers because we believe in this idea of forward-thinking grace. We are convinced it’s possible to rewrite the story behind your story—to choose joy for your future even when right now you may be having a hard time, not feel excited, not be able to picture being a mom, or simply be trying to believe God.

Robyn's Maternity Story

On a summer afternoon at her home Robyn told me her story.
She says it's one of severe grace—and of feeling seen.

An Introduction
Read More

I remember feeling embarrassed when we first got pregnant.

We weren’t planning to be pregnant at that point. I was finally feeling good for the first time I could remember in years and then I couldn’t stop throwing up—I had the extreme form of morning sickness. It was a really confusing, intense thing for me and telling family was hard because I didn’t feel excited about it.

Nate & Camry Crist

Married just over ten years, our favorite things include our faithful God,
our family, and the simplicity of slow country life.

As often as he can, Nate cruises on his riding lawn mower
and gives phenomenal baby tickles.

I homeschool our four kids, delight in hot cocoa, and am making an ongoing adjustment to having to share my cocoa with so many little ones.
